Welcoming Changes
By Michelle Christian
We’ve all been traumatized in one way or another over the past 90 days. Everyone has had to adapt and reframe in this season of re-birth. It’s how we choose to look at our current situations that can either bring happiness and peace, or sadness and hopelessness. With my feet rooted in hope and clinging tightly to my faith, I greet each new day for what it is, an opportunity to be grateful and to learn from our mistakes.
Our doors are still open and our customers keep coming back, and for this, we are grateful. My staff and I want to extend a warm thank you to everyone that has supported us through this challenging time. Our customers have had to adapt right along with us, and most everyone has been supportive and kind. Regarding masks, let’s just keep wearing them to protect one another and to help keep our doors open. We offer many affordable varieties for sale at the front counter, and we also hand out paper masks per request.
Regarding the vacant booths you will see when you come in; don’t let it worry you, we are still 90% full! We have some wonderful new vendors that you must check out! On a shared wall space, we just welcomed two new fine artists: Paint Design by Sherry on WS 247 and Meesha B Fine Art on WS 248. The beauty of the Emporium is the diversity of vendors we offer, and we have such fun interacting with so many dynamic and creative members of our community. This is a good time to spend some time wandering around, letting go of your troubles for an hour or so.
Who knows really what the future holds. All we can do is take this life one day at a time. And enjoy the ride…………. thanks for your support.
