Our annual Ashland Community Bike Swap is fast approaching. Okay, it’s two months away (Sat, Apr 16), but there is something you can do now… Donate your unwanted bike or equipment! Did you know any donations are tax-deductible? From now until April 12 we are accepting donated bikes and bike equipment in good working condition. Drop yours off at Ashland Fire Station #1 at 455 Siskiyou Blvd or, for a pick-up, call 541.488.5340. Every donation means more bike safety classes for our community. Learn more at here.

The first annual Siskiyou de Mayo: A World Music Festival, scheduled for May 14, 2016, will take place in Lithia Park at the Butler Bandshell, and celebrate multiculturalism with international music and dance! Local acts will include Zimbabwean Marimba performances, Middle-Eastern belly dancing, Afro-Cuban fusion, salsa dancing and much more! We hope to see you there… more info here.

Ashland Parks And Recreation

The City of Ashland Parks & Recreation (APR) Department was established to provide recreational opportunities to improve the quality of life for area residents and visitors. Our goals are to strengthen the community fabric and sense of place for youth, adult, and visitor populations; to promote health and wellness; to foster human development; to increase cultural unity and to protect our valuable natural resources. APR meets these goals through preserving, maintaining, and enhancing our recreational facilities, parks, and open spaces while also coordinating engaging programs, classes, public events, and festivals.
