At every meeting of the Barbell Club we work on improving our functional heavy lifting skills. You won’t find bicep curls here; we focus on squats, presses, deadlifts, the Olympic lifts, and the assistance exercises that improve them. Workouts are programmed and scheduled based on proven methods for getting stronger. If you’re consistent with this training you will set new personal records, see improvement in your other workouts or sports, ramp up your metabolism, feel and look better, and be stronger!
Barbell Club meetings are every Thursday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 4:00pm. Meetings are approximately an hour, though can potentially run longer.
The drop-in cost is $10 for current CrossFit Ashland members and $15 for non-members. If you like it (and who doesn’t like lifting heavy things and being strong, right?), then add it onto your gym membership for only $35 a month. If you’re not a CFA member, get a Barbell Club-only membership for $65 a month. That’s 8 classes per month of dedicated lifting time with a CrossFit Trainer right there to help you out as much as you need for only $8 per class!
