Celebrating Balance!

It is hard to believe, but local Waterstone Spa is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year. This well-established downtown retreat has been taking care of the locals and visitors alike offering great spa services and educating on such topics as Ayurveda, hydrotherapy or reflexology.  Their services include massages, facials, body soaks, wraps and scrubs, steam and sauna. The team led by Deb Cleland focus on using local and/or organic products such as Applegate Botanicals, Buddha Blends, Jurlique and Ilike. As of April 2013 they have added a new location at the Lithia Springs Resort. With this expansion they are able to use the power of healing waters that are sourced from beneath the resort and offer it as part of the spa experience. The new location offers a side-by-side massage room, facials room and a soaker tub perfect for a romantic couple’s getaway, or a rejuvenating spa overnight stay for all the hard working locals.

Their treatments include centuries old techniques, as well as nature’s gifts, such as organic Oregon honey, Pacific Ocean sea salt or local herbs. Many treatments incorporate essential oils and flower essences. With the resort’s garden as their immediate source, therapists use fresh plants including lavender, mint and other herbs and flowers in rejuvenating body wraps, soaks and massages. Waterstone Spa therapists also took advantage of the expanding Southern Oregon wine region offering Vino Therapy, in which organic grape seed and extracts are used in a skin softening scrub. Divine!

Waterstone Spa encourages a balanced approach to life: a healthy, clean diet, exercising, playing outdoors and regular spa visits. It all benefits our body, mind and soul and as a result supports longevity. Spa customers are invited to take recipes for easy at-home spa treatments. It is a simple way to extend a relaxing spa experience to the comforts of your home. Carefully designed recipes incorporate such basic ingredients as sugar, honey, herbs, essential oils, salts, or flowers. By sourcing these ingredients at your local farmers market or co-op, you not only support local businesses, but also give your body the most powerful and healing benefits found in organic, seasonal and local produce. With the most bountiful months approaching, do not forget to take advantage of the nature’s wonders that can be found around you. Go for a walk, meditate, eat fresh veggies and drink local wine!

Happy Anniversary Waterstone Spa!
