Classic Crooners at Camelot

Camelot Theatre in Talent continues its 2015 Season with its Fall offering: “Spotlight On Perry, Jerry and Dean.”

They were handsome, cool and cocky. And man, could these Italians sing! ‘Classic Crooners’ Perry Como, Jerry Vale and Dean Martin gave the world such memorable hits as “That’s Amore,” “Catch a Falling Star,” “Dommage, Dommage,” “It’s Impossible,” “Volare,” “You Don’t Know Me,” “Return to Me” and “Mambo Italiano.” Hear these songs and many more – and learn the stories behind their exhilarating ride to fame.

Camelot’s production of “Spotlight on Perry, Jerry and Dean” stars Camelot’s own ‘Classic Crooners’ Michael Wing, Erik Connelly and David King- Gabriel. Narration is by Shirley Patton from a script by Cathy Noah. Musical arrangements are by Dal Carver. Musical Direction is by Camelot newcomer Lauren James, also on keyboards. She is joined by Lori Calhoun on various reed instruments, David Miller on bass, Randy Scherer on trumpet and Steve Sutfin on percussion. Direction is by Presila Quinby.

Sponsored by “A Great Look with Wigs by Beverly,” Camelot’s “Spotlight on Perry, Jerry & Dean” previews Thursday, August 13, opens Friday, August 14 and runs through August 23rd. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets for the Thursday preview are $22.  All other regular performances are $26.
