September Art Show to Showcase Local Artists’ work
The Mill Pond Neighborhood presents the third (almost) annual “Art Around the Pond” event, showcasing the creative talents of the Mill Pond residents and their families.
The Mill Pond Community is a fine example of why Ashland was rated one of the top 100 art towns in America, as seen in the book The 100 Best Small Art Towns in America: Where to Discover Creative Communities, Fresh Air, and Affordable Living by John Villani. High quality fine art, crafts, and performers will be presented on Saturday, September 19th from 10am to 2pm around the pond on North Wightman St. just off East Main, across from the National Guard Armory. Artists will gather around the pond to display their works and share their talents with the greater community. There will be a Silent Auction to raise funds for continued pond restoration. The popular Critter Corner, documenting sightings of birds, bugs and other wildlife, is fun for kids and adults alike. Entertainment will include live music and readings. Refreshments will be served.
In case of rain on the 19th, the event will be held September 26th.
