Giant flowers keep popping up for Cheryl D. Garcia, the metal artist who installed the giant poppies outside Jacksonville last year. A new seasonal collection of her artwork entitled “Red Migration” will be on display at Red Lily tasting room, the Applegate Valley’s newest wine destination. The “Red Migration” collection will show through December, temporarily complimenting her ten foot tall “Bolander’s Lily” sculpture and twelve foot bottle tree both on permanent display at the Red Lily grounds. Cheryl will be available to discuss her current show and the history of her giant sculptures Sunday, November 20th from 11 AM until 5 PM. Asked to describe the show the artist offered “It’s a collection of work themed in the transient and seasonal aspects of life and fiery colors of Autumn.”
Scheduled to compliment the “Uncorked!” barrel tasting and food pairing celebration put on by the Applegate Valley Wine Trail, Cheryl welcomes wine trail followers and art lovers to meet her and discover her new work as part of their day. If you haven’t had a chance to visit Red Lily yet, this is your opportunity to come out and explore their unique setting and superior wines. Red Lily is located at 11177 Highway 238 between Ruch and Applegate.
