SOBC Mother’s Day Fair Sat. May 10th

Dear Southern Oregon Families,

Thank you for being in our lives! Please join us on Saturday May 10th, let us pamper the mama in your family with love, appreciation, massage, free child-care and yummy food! Yes dads, you and the kids eat free as well. Why? Because we could not be part of this community without you! We want to share our deepest appreciation for the Ashland families who support us in the work we do.

“I went to the first SOBC Mother’s Day Fair in 2010 when I was a young, single, new mom. I found the Mother’s Day Fair a perfect way to connect with community, show off my darling baby, and meet other parents; and as a new mother that was a great gift. I look forward to this event each year, and now, as a professional in the birth world and an SOBC member, it is not only that gift I give myself, but also an act of service to others. That warms my heart.”      Shayna Marie Perkinson, Doula

“Every year at Mother’s Day, I am reminded of all the amazing women who have influenced me on my life journey. When my family first moved to Ashland, we attended the SOBC Mother’s Day brunch. Seeing all of the families joined together honoring mothers, mothers to be, grandmothers and mother figures was very moving.”
Dr. Amanda Hochman

“My family and I moved to Ashland to become part of what we believed was a sweet community. SOBCs Mother’s Saturday Brunch is the embodiment of that sweet community, and it is something that I am truly proud to gift to the mamas and families of our community.”
Andrea Merg, Childbirth Educator, Sign Language Instructor

“The first SOBC Mother’s Day event SOBC hosted was pivotal for me. I sat down with one of the families I serve, ate some great food, and really relaxed into a pleasant exchange. It is a rare treat as a doctor, to work in a community, be accepted as a fellow member, and be appreciated and cherished for the role I play.”
Dr. Bonnie Nedrow

It has always been one of the primary goals of Southern Oregon Birth Connections to serve all families…independent of how a family chooses to birth, where they choose to birth, and the healthcare choices any one family makes.  And, in each family there is a mother.  The Mother’s Day Brunch is a beautiful annual event that unites us all…for we have all come from our mother….let us honor her and be honored.
