Johnny Mercer was America’s greatest lyricist. Born and raised in genteel Savannah, Georgia in 1909, Mercer went on to become a major force in Hollywood from the 1940s through the 1960s. Her was nominated for 16 Academy Awards and won four. In addition to writing lyrics, he was a composer, singer and businessman. The co-founder of Capitol Records, Mercer wrote the lyrics to such classics as Blues in the Night, Skylark, Moon River, Satin Doll, That Old Black Magic, Something’s Gotta Give, Come Rain or Come Shine and hundreds more.

They are joined by musicians Steve Fain (Bass), Randy Magallanes (Tenor Sax, Clarinet & Flute), Brent Olstad (Keyboard), Randy Scherer (Trumpet), Steve Sutfin (Percussion) and Michael Vannice (Alto Sax, Alto Flute & Bass Clarinet). With a script by Charles Cherry and Arrangements by Michael Vannice, Spotlight on Johnny Mercer promises to be a wonderful evening!

Then Camelot goes to Chinon, France for the ‘original’ Game of Thrones: James Goldman’s The Lion in Winter! Starring
Livia Genise and Don Matthews and directed by Roy Von Rains, Jr. The Lion in Winter is a tale of unrequited passion and lust for power as realized in the Oscar-winning film starring Peter O’Toole and Katherine Hepburn. Talk about a dysfunctional family! King Henry II of England has three sons by Eleanor of Aquitaine: Richard, Geoffrey and John. Henry wants the kingdom to stay united after his death, but all three sons want to rule and so it is likely to be torn apart by revolutions. Henry favors the youngest, Eleanor favors the eldest, and the middle son hopes to play both ends against each other and come out on top. “A work of intelligence, astringent wit, and much theatrical skill.” ~ The New York Times
