This Joint Is Jumpin’ – Definitely!

That was the headline of Roberta Kent’s review in the Mail Tribune.
“AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’, the high-energy song-and-dance revue at Oregon Cabaret Theatre for the summer, is a joyful tribute to the music of Thomas “Fats” Waller, the exuberant jazz pianist and composer of the 1920s and ‘30s. (Director) Jim Giancarlo has again assembled a remarkably talented cast of singers and dancers. Craig Hudson designed an elegant, jazzy, art-deco set that frames the action and recreates the style and pizazz of the period. Kerri Lea Robbins’ splashy, sparkly costumes capture it all, from elaborate zoot suits for the guys…to slinky, gowns and tuxes. It will have you tappin’ your toes and clappin’ your hands to its joyfully rowdy music.”

From Edith Decker’s review in the Daily Courier:

“A great show, beautifully performed and toe-tappingly fun. It is the definition of high energy and makes the most of Waller’s famous sense of humor and upbeat stride piano music….Five exceptional performers. If you’re looking for a fun night out, AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ is for you.”
