It’s that time in the Rogue Valley again, the leaves have turned vibrant shades of yellow, orange and red. Soon the snowflakes will be flying not just high up in the mountains but down here too. Here at Ashland Electric Bikes we’re gearing up for the transition. We’re pulling out our winter thermals and rain jackets so we can keep riding in the colder weather. It’s our mission to reduce our carbon footprints and ensure the planet stays green for future generations. That’s why along with our regular daily commuting bikes we offer a range of bikes to meet one’s transportation needs. This month we’d like to highlight our fat tire bikes.
For the avid outdoorsman the possibilities for fat tire bikes are almost endless. Do you know of the perfect fishing spot, but it requires miles of hiking from your vehicle to get there? Tired of carrying in your poles, tackle boxes and other gear? Do you love to go rock hounding but are often forced to leave some of your great finds because you simply can’t carry that many rocks back out with you? Are you an avid camper, but always worried about a serious wipeout with the muddier ground conditions in fall and winter? Then a fat tire bike might just be the thing you need, to get you out there enjoying mother nature more.
For the farmer, whether for your personal use or for a small business, e-bikes can be a great tool to help you transport supplies around the uneven ground and rugged terrain of your property. Plus, if you happen to be an organic farmer e-bikes provide the added benefit of being exhaust free. You no longer need to worry about accidental exposure of your plants to chemicals from dirt bikes or ATVs. Additionally, you and your family or employees won’t have to inhale those harmful emissions either. Our fat tire bikes, like the Magnum Scout and the Surface604 Boar, provide a possible solution for getting around these grounds in a more environmentally friendly manner. With racks for loading and rear hub motors with plenty of pulling power, you can move those supplies around the property with ease.
Lastly for those avid cyclists that know they’re about to get the winter blues, try one of our fat tire bikes for some fun mountain riding. When the rain is steady down here, and the conditions are less than ideal for your skinny road tires, you can head into the hills and still get your cycling fix as you glide across the beautiful snow-covered landscapes that southern Oregon has to offer.
