Featured Vendor: Alisha Aouriri of Lost to Luxe, #526
Hello local Ashlanders! I want to introduce myself and invite you to come and check out my mini boutique inside of Ashland Artisan Emporium. My name is Alisha Aouriri, I am a local alumnus of SOU, and the valley is now my permanent home.
Aside from creating art, my other profession is at the complete opposite end of the spectrum. You may have, unfortunately, visited me at Asante Ashland Community Hospital where I serve the community as a clinical laboratory scientist. But after hours I can be found in my studio/garage creating art that is displayed for sale at local boutiques and my mini boutique at the emporium.
My business is titled Lost to Luxe and my specialties are a unique and whimsical variety of handmade jewelry, home décor, felted art, and refinished wood furniture that I display and create with a variety of repurposed materials. Also found in my mini boutique is a very popular house plant called an air plant, which is a live plant that is mountable and not potted so makes for low maintenance home décor. I have a grand selection of air plants, guaranteed the lowest prices, best variety of species, than found anywhere else in the valley. For those that have no green thumb at all I do have a fun line of paper and felted plants in pots. My favorite faux plant designs include that of the cacti and succulents which are very popular right now.
My design vision is to create fun and luxurious pieces with unconventional materials. This is how I take my ideas from Lost to Luxe! I can confidently say that my pieces are one of a kind. There is something for everything in the emporium. It is a fun place to browse, shop, see local artists, local businesses.
