Jump on the Band Wagon!
The Ashland High School Band Wagon, that is. The AHS orchestra, vocalists and faculty Music Directors will be on the wagon, too. Where’s the wagon going? Why, to Lithia Park’s Band Shell on September 29 at 4:30. The musicians will jump off the wagon and onto the stage and regale the rest of us with an outstanding musical event—the Second Annual Musicale in the Park. The Umpqua Bank Ice Cream Truck will be there, too, with yummy free ice cream for everyone.
How do you jump on the wagon? Easy! No need to Disapparate. Just pony up $10 (or more if you feel the urge) for the Ashland High Music Department. In return you’ll not only get a great concert, but discounts to some swell local businesses and the chance to win one of a bunch of gotta-have raffle prizes. You don’t have to be at the concert to win, but why wouldn’t you want to be? Say you can’t wait to fork out the bucks? Call those indefatigable fundraisers—any of the brokers at Real Estate Depot (482-1898) or Josh Hamick at Passport2Ashland (840-6929). You can also buy the coupon/raffle packet at Paddington Station. And what are those bucks used for? Last year the $6,770 raised went for major instruments and a new theatre sound system. Wow! The goal this year is $10,000!
