Create a beautiful “twin bottom egg basket” style basket from all natural local materials including willow, apple, plum, maple, dogwood, grape, seaweeds and more. Louisa Lenz-Porter lives in Williams, Oregon and has been making baskets since 1985 collecting materials that grow naturally in our region. Class fee includes all material needed to complete a basket. Ages 10 – 15 yrs and up. $60/person includes all materials. Please register online at or call the Nature Center at 541.488.6606.

The City of Ashland Parks & Recreation (APR) Department was established to provide recreational opportunities to improve the quality of life for area residents and visitors. Our goals are to strengthen the community fabric and sense of place for youth, adult, and visitor populations; to promote health and wellness; to foster human development; to increase cultural unity and to protect our valuable natural resources.
