Reflections on the Eve of Graduation

It is the week before graduation at the Ashland Institute of Massage. Our 2014 students are eagerly anticipating the ceremonial conclusion to their schooling. We “permanent fixtures” of the school are watching them now with fondness and admiration. How much they each have grown and blossomed! Graduation is bittersweet for the instructors and administrators at AIM. We are proud and excited to see where our students’ lives and careers will take them, but like parents when their children move out, there is sadness present as well. Our students are family and always will be.

Here are some reflections offered by past graduates on their time as an AIM student.

“Going to AIM gave me my life back, allowing me to follow a lifelong dream, reconnect with humanity, and help people at the same time. What could be a greater gift to myself?” –Amelia S.

“This has been one of the most incredible and transformative experiences of my life. You are wonderful teachers and even better human beings. No words can express my gratitude to you. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and some of the best hugs ever.” –Dana K.

“Even though the distance between us is great, not a day goes by that I don’t think of my ever-loving AIM family” -Jacqueline W.

“My experience at AIM was life-changing. The all-encompassing curriculum graduates well-rounded, advanced students. The faculty is genuinely caring and dedicated to each student’s long-term progress and wellness. I am incredibly grateful for my time at AIM and where it has led me to today.” –Anna K.

“AIM is not just a school that demands excellence. It is a community of skillful and thoughtful practitioners and teachers who subtly lift you up through a beautifully-orchestrated web of support.” –Jaye M.

“I’m profoundly grateful for your natural beingness and how you midwifed us in to the program, into the skills, into the industry, and into the world.” -2011 Graduate

To all our graduates: please remember that our gratitude to you is as least as large as yours towards us. Thank you for being a part of our lives. Don’t forget to come back and visit!
