Much to be Thankful For

With 2016 behind us, it only seems appropriate to reflect on the last year. The real estate market experienced some incredible activity and as of mid-December the Medford and Ashland John L Scott offices have closed more than $720 million for 2016. That equates to over 2,350 transactions by our two offices alone and there are still two weeks left in the year. We crushed last year’s record setting numbers by more than $100 million. Wow! As we have discussed before, the inventory levels made it a bit of a challenge but overall the market was deemed healthy and the proof is in the pudding.

As we venture into 2017, we remain optimistic that the strength of this market will continue. Even with a slight increase, the interest rates remain very attractive and homebuyers are still encouraged by the incredibly attractive 30 year rates that are under 4.5%. We have a serious need for inventory so if you are considering for a moment that you would consider selling your home please don’t wait another minute. Give us a call so we can talk with you about the market, give you a realistic value for your property and help you make the decision that’s best for your family. Often times, sellers will fetch more money for their homes in the early months versus the spring when the supply and demand will no longer be in their favor.

We are proud to report that Dyan and I successfully closed over $40 million in 2016 and continue to be humbled by the support we receive among the community. Our focus this last year was really toward quality versuss quantity and we are pleased to have had such a fulfilling yet prosperous year. It certainly didn’t come without a tremendous amount of hard work but the support we received from our inner circle made it possible and for that we are incredibly grateful.

Recently, we were recognized as two of the Top 100 Most Influential Real Estate Agents in our region which was quite an honor. In Portland, we participated in a panel comprised of other top producing agents and got to share with several hundred area realtors what it is about our jobs that we love so much. We all openly discussed the tools we have implemented to bring success to our businesses.

It was interesting to hear the various approaches agents are implementing and equally intriguing to learn that we are most definitely doing things a bit different.

While we don’t always have our act together when it comes to sending you a card on your home buying anniversary, we do genuinely appreciate those of you who have touched our lives and we count our blessings regularly for the relationships we have developed along the way. Thanks for being part of our story and for making such an impact. Every note, phone call or sentiment in appreciation not only for our work but also for the sacrifices our husbands make has made such a lasting impression on us.
