The Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink, located in Lithia Park at 95 Winburn Way (corner of Winburn and Nutley St), is open daily for the season! The Ashland World Music Festival, where our community celebrates the world, is a family-friendly event full of music, dance, food and fun from cultures near and far. Taking place on May 19, from noon to 6 p.m. in beautiful Lithia Park, this free festival is produced by Rogue World Music and Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission with support from generous local sponsors. The City of Ashland Parks & Recreation (APR) Department was established to provide recreational opportunities to improve the quality of life for area residents and visitors. Our goals are to strengthen the community fabric and sense of place for youth, adult, and visitor populations; to promote health and wellness; to foster human development; to increase cultural unity and to protect our valuable natural resources. APR meets these goals through preserving, maintaining, and enhancing our recreational facilities, parks, and open spaces while also coordinating engaging programs, classes, public events, and festivals.
