Fall and winter is the best time to rejuvenate your skin! Many of my patients take advantage of being out of the sun to have a deep chemical peel. This is a fantastic treatment to get rid of brown spots, sun damage, rough texture, precancers, and deep wrinkles. Nothing transforms your facial skin more than a single treatment of a deep chemical peel. Because it penetrates to the deepest layer of your skin, this is a medical treatment done only by dermatologists and plastic surgeons. I was trained by two physician expert peelers who have been doing deep chemical peels for more than 20 years and I have been very impressed by the results on my own patients. Skin preparation lasts 8 weeks prior to the peel to help the skin heal faster. Downtime for healing is 10-14 days, with redness fading over 2-3 months. I customize the strength of the peel based on the areas of the face, so thin eyelid skin is treated the lightest and thick perioral skin is treated the strongest.
