Free Coronavirus Consults

Here we are hunkered down in our homes, wondering and perhaps fearing what will happen with the Coronavirus. It is true, things are different now, and we are on the edge of some big changes as a result.  What can you do? Since Southern Oregon Sports and Spine is about health, I would like you to consider this: When we are healthy in mind, body and spirit, we make better decisions to take better care of ourselves. Just let that sink in for a moment…

The more flexible we are, the healthier we adapt to change. Because we are all connected, it is difficult to have a flexible body and an inflexible mind.  So, what can you do to make your mind, body and spirit more flexible?  Some suggestions to stretch your body and mind are meditation, mindfulness, reading books, Yoga, Tai Chi or Qigong. Improving your flexibility on all levels will improve your immune function and your ability to react to the Coronavirus and the change it is precipitating. Another avenue to consider is taking probiotics, fermented foods or a capsule that can add to the biodiversity, and therefore flexibility of your digestive response. Certainly, antioxidant foods and supplements such as fruits and vegetables, Vitamins A, D and C are all helpful in giving your body many options to protect itself. Getting adequate regular sleep may be harder to do when you are home without a firm schedule, but important for your immune and brain function. There are many other herbs, supplements and options to try, but these are a good place to start.

Another way to improve your resilience is through homeopathy, which has been around several hundred years and has successfully helped people through previous pandemics. It is scoffed at by people who don’t understand it, but that doesn’t change the fact it is powerful and helpful.  In a pandemic we are prescribing a different way based on the symptoms or “picture” the Coronavirus is presenting in people. There are fewer medicines to know, and differentiating with resulting treatment can be done quickly. The medicines are also affordable and readily available.

What SOSAS is offering to the people of Ashland is access to a free, online, personal, fifteen-minute, Naturopathic telemedicine consultation with Dr. Valeria Breiten on how to prevent contracting the virus, or what homeopathic to use if infected with the Coronavirus.
