What? The Ashland Mind Music Festival 2010!
When? October 8-10 (fri, sat, and sun)

Why? ….

Presented by Karrgo Bossajova and the Innovative Land Group, The Ashland Mind is a grassroots music festival located in Southern Oregon. It is an effort to promote the development of music and friendship in Ashland, all of Oregon, the entire Northwest… everywhere! The band line-up covers a plethora of different genres— rock, reggae, funk, psychedelic, jazz, jam band, fusion, progressive, metal, folk, electronic, and perhaps whatever type of music you play (contact us to sign up for the Open Jam Sunday afternoon!). Funded/organized entirely by local community, AMMF ’10 is the hopes of bringing people together– not for some corporate reason or on any single person’s behalf but simply for the pure enjoyment of music, art, and the outdoors. And what better a place than the picturesque, Manzanita-scattered Innovative Land Group acreage just outside of Ashland?! With live music, hand-made arts & crafts, cold beer, festivities all day and night, good people, and delicious food, The Ashland Mind aims to please.

Blake, what is your involvement with the AMMF ’10?
I play in Ashland’s Karrgo Bossajova (progressive psychedelic funk jams). We tour around the NW and involve ourselves in the local community by organizing grassroots music festivals. We host an event in Williams, Or- Apple Jam Music Fest. Although the first Apple Jam was in October, we have since decided to make it an annual event in May. But we got to thinking.. early fall is just such a nice time to have a festival in Southern Oregon! So we created a new project in October that could also potentially become an annual event- The Ashland Mind Music Festival 2010. AMMF ’10 is now our newest, most exciting thing.

What is The Ashland Mind Music Festival?
AMMF ’10 is a weekend-long celebration of good music and peaceful communion. It’s a lot of music and a lot of fun… for not a lot of money! An event designed for live-music-lovers who can’t afford to spend $200+ on the mainstream festivals, AMMF ’10 is only $20 (+ $1.99 service charge) per Weekend Pass if you buy tickets in advance @ brownpapertickets.com. AMMF = an unforgettable, positive vibration music festival experience without the high prices and overcrowded venues you’d likely find elsewhere.

Is it an all ages event?
Yes. AMMF is intended to be suitable for all ages. In fact, children 12 and under get in free! However, all attendees under age 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.

What kind of music can one expect to hear at AMMF ’10?
Good, local music of all kinds! The band line-up is posted on the website—www.theashlandmind.com. AMMF covers a plethora of different genres— rock, reggae, funk, psychedelic, jazz, jam band, fusion, progressive, experimental, metal, folk, electronic, and perhaps whatever type of music you play (contact us to sign up for the Open Jam Sunday evening!).

What kind of things other than music can one expect to find at AMMF ’10?
Music is huge, but by no means is it everything. In addition to the live music, one can also expect to find a smorgasbord of arts and crafts, delicious (local) food vendors, a Frisbee golf course, late-night dance parties, etc.

Are there any discounts offered?
