Wow…
It’s been way to long since we sent our last newsletter. I can’t
even believe how much has been changing on the web. Twitter is on fire,
Facebook has gone viral and localsguide is going local.
I am not even sure where to begin.. it’s kinda crazy out there right now.
More people in the Rogue Valley are online than ever and even the
Daily Tidings has launched it’s own social network. (I wonder why?)
Hyperlocal has turned into a buzzword as the mainstream media
is scrambling to regain control.
But… IT’S OUR TURN NOW!!
Our turn to bring forth the NEW MEDIA which can create transparency
and build connectivity. Opening the doors, not closing them to opportunity.
If you have been reading the newspaper you will see that I have now passed
the torch for LocalsGuide Editor over Marick Kelley.

Marick started working with the paper just before the birth of our daughter almost
2 years ago. She has been a life saver and It is with great pleasure that she now
take the reigns while I refocus my efforts into the business models of LocalsGuide.
In specific I will be tweeting about it on twitter:
and.. laying out the ground plans for the launch of LocalsGuide as a Micro Franchise.
This means a low cost startup for young people around the country.
Right now more than ever people need opportunities and I want to see the efforts put forth by our community implemented in other communities around the country.

On another note, I want to let you know that LocalsGuide will be relaunching it’s Weekly eNews. So, Look for an email early next week and get ready for fun! We have a ton of great prizes to give away and more.
