Once In A While…

…a film is created that moves me deeply. “Once” is one of these films. I was blown away by the intimacy of the experience: the raw quality and lucid style of filming combined with the people (calling them ‘actors’ would be insulting, in my opinion) and their creativity in such an authentic manner.

There are several ways to describe this film with the phrase “it is more than just ________” and I could explain the ‘plot,’ but it seems that it would turn it into something less than it is and deprive you of the opportunity to see and feel it for yourself. There is so much power and energy on the screen that it reaches out and embraces willing viewers. And then there is the music. Buy your ticket, take a deep breath and let it take you where you want it to.
