The Phoenix Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual, citywide YARD SALE and FAIR (new this year) – on Saturday, May 17th 2008. Everyone is invited to join the celebration from early morning to late afternoon. Businesses and private citizens will participate in the giant Yard Sale – which stretches for blocks, has hundreds of items to choose from and lots of places to go. Yard Sale enthusiasts will think they have found heaven. Yard sale maps, listing all participants, will be available all around town.
In addition there will be “happenings†on Main Street. Restaurant “Specials†will be offered at Roscoe’s BBQ – Jo’s Fish “n†Chips and on First Street at the First Street Café.
“The Shoppes at Exit 34†will also join in the celebration by offering items for sale.
Jackson County Fire District will display their Fire Safety Trailer; just look for the red fire truck in the Edward Jones parking lot in back of Jack in the Box and bring the kids.
The Friends of the Library and the Phoenix Family Garden Club will hold a joint Book and Plant Sale at Phoenix Library from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
