Hello readers, have I got a surprise for you. As much as I love astrology I just had to introduce you to my second favorite and easiest instrument of divination, Numerology. Numerology is the study of numbers. Pythagoras, the Greek mathematician is said to be the originator of much of what we call numerology today. These numbers show a great deal about character, purpose in life, what motivates, and where talents may lie.

Twelve numbers are used to construct a numerology chart. They are numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 22 and 33. This month you will learn how to figure your personal year. The Personal year is helpful in understanding what the year may hold for you. Now, I know we are a couple months into 2008 but I really feel you need to learn this. Here is the formula to calculate your personal year. Don’t forget to have some fun with this.

First, reduce the month and day of your birth, your birthday, to a single digit. Using my birthday for example, January 18th, that single digit would be 1 (1+18=10; 1+0=1). If your month and day total comes to 11 or 22, the master numbers, in this instance, reduce the number to 2 and 4, respectively. Next, reduce the year for which you are making the calculation to a single digit. The year 2008 would become 1. Now, add the single digit representing your birthday to the single digit representing the year in question (1+1). Thus, 2008 is a 2 personal year for me.
