Summer with Ashland Parks & Recreation

Registration for summer Ashland Parks & Recreation programs is underway! We have programs for all ages and interests. Registration for swim lessons at Daniel Meyer Pool will begin on Saturday, June 8, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with on-site testing and registration at the pool! For more information, visit www.ashland.or.us/Swim. Also, don’t miss the Daniel Meyer Pool OPENING DAY event on Friday, June 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with activities for all ages! Learn more at www.ashland.or.us/Swim. Did you know we sell pool punch cards for Lap Swim, Open Swim and Youth Water Polo? Buy a pool punch card early, from May 21 through June 14! This offer is only available online at www.ashland.or.us/Swim. The punch cards will be available for pickup at the Daniel Meyer Pool on or after June 13, 2013. Ashland Parks & Recreation will present the 37th Annual 4th of July Run on Thursday, July 4, 2013. This event is a fundraiser for the Ashland and Phoenix High School cross country teams. Two routes are offered: a 10K run (6.2-mile) and the traditional 2-mile run/walk. Both races will have the same start time at 7:45 a.m. The routes are scenic and on closed roadways. A section of the 10K route is along the tree-lined Bear Creek Greenway. Register early, by June 14, for the 10K (6.2-mile) run or the 2-mile walk/run and receive this year’s 4th of July t-shirt FREE. Register online at www.ashland.or.us/julyrun. The cost is $22 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 12 and under. Join in the fun – adults, children and families welcome!
