Finding Your Center of Balance at Wellspring Center
The Wellspring Center offers a variety of body therapies that work well in combination to restore body balance including Nucca chiropractic care, Acupuncture and Ashiatsu. The newest member of the Wellspring family is Kaijah Bjorklund lmt, nmt, cst. Kaijah brings her knowledge about the importance of body balance, specifically the abdominal and pelvic area, through her extensive training. She is an orthopedic and sports injury specialist who approaches health and balance though a holistic lens. Her work is focused on the pelvic and low back areas that may be causing a variety of other symptoms. The pelvis serves as the body’s center of mass and the primary attachment location for muscles that move the upper and lower body as well as holding our organs. The abdomen is also our energetic center. Working to align the abdomen and pelvis assists in re-aligning the energetic, emotional and mental imbalances that can reside in the body.
Kaijah combines her technical bodywork skills with Maya Abdominal Massage and Chi Nei Tsang. Maya Abdominal work is a traditional Mayan massage technique specifically for women, commonly practiced throughout Central America, and known for its effectiveness in treating menstrual cramps, menopause, infertility and a variety of women’s health issues. According to traditional Mayan wisdom, the uterus is the center of a woman’s health. If the uterus becomes collapsed, tilted, or otherwise disturbed from its natural position, it can disrupt normal bladder, intestine, or reproductive function, depending on the angle of disturbance. Maya Abdominal Massage works to correct uterine position through a technique of gentle abdominal massage that stimulates the ten different ligaments supporting the uterus.
Daily life exposes our whole bodies to stress, particularly our internal organs. Chi Nei Tsang helps our organs and prompts them to work more efficiently. It also helps with chronic pain, structural misalignment, and postural problems that show up in places such as the shoulders, neck, back, feet, legs and pelvis. Chi Nei Tsang can help in relieving many physical symptoms such as digestive issues, low energy, irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, constipation, indigestion, and gastritis. The combination of Maya Abdominal Massage, Chi Nei Tsang, and other specific bodywork techniques can assist you in aligning and finding your center of balance.
