Dr. Marc is Not Retiring

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of my imminent retirement are greatly exaggerated. I am still working and have no plans to retire anytime soon. After 39 years, I think I have figured out a few things about spinal problems and body pain. I am still learning, and still passionate about my chiropractic and rehab work. I am working less and taking more time off, so it might be a little challenging to get an immediate appointment with me.

I love my work! I love being able to help people. I especially enjoy helping solve chronic longstanding pain problems of the back, hips, and/or neck. My approach is to view and diagnose their problem in a different light, giving them tools and direction that help change their life. This is the best and highest use of my skills. If no one else can figure out your pain, give me a call.

Many of you have been my clients for decades and are old friends, in a special way. I also love meeting new people as patients.

A more selfish reason to continue at age 70 is that working keeps my brain fresh and stimulated. In the office, 39 years of clinical experience come into play, and I am still sharp and smart. Sudoku is fun, but not the same level of challenge.

I was recently at a professional conference in Chicago. Two of the speakers were especially inspiring to me. Both were over 80. Both had 60 years of experience. Both were still mentally sharp. Both had brilliant insights and experience to share. I don’t know if I will work for 20 more years, but I know I still have lots to share, and lots of people left to help.
