It’s late afternoon in Ashland, and Catherine Rowe is walking her clients through a home on Liberty Street – answering questions, noticing details, and offering a kind of expertise that only comes with decades in the business. Across town, Graham Thomas and Brian Druihet are developing a marketing plan with both story and substance that will honor their client’s stewardship of a beloved family property. The clients may be different — downsizing retirees, growing families, or professionals relocating from larger markets – but the Rowe Team’s goal remains the same: help people move forward, with clarity and peace of mind. With more closed sales than any other agent in Ashland, the Rowe Team is known not just for results, but for the way they get there. Since 1998, Catherine Rowe has cultivated a reputation for putting her clients first. In this interview, we discuss what that means to each member of the Rowe Team.

Welcome to the Rowe Team, and thanks for taking the time to speak with me today.

Thank you Shields. It’s a great opportunity to introduce ourselves and share a bit about how we work and what drives us.

I’d like to start with Catherine Rowe. Catherine, how would you describe your approach?

I’ve always believed in a service-based model. It’s never been just about sales –  it’s about delivering meaningful value to our clients and advocating for their interests.

Catherine, I understand your business has grown through word of mouth. How have relationships played into your success?

Many of our clients are friends, neighbors, or referrals from people we’ve worked with in the past. Those relationships have allowed our business to grow naturally — built on trust, consistency, and results.

A question for Graham Thomas – what makes the Rowe Team’s marketing and advertising strategy different?

Our listings receive exceptional digital advertising exposure, precisely targeted to buyers seeking homes in Southern Oregon. Value is communicated through our attention to detail in the way we present our listings. We gather and organize due diligence to proactively answer buyer questions, galvanize offer confidence, and pave the way for a smooth escrow.

Graham, how do you measure success in this business?

We consider closing price to original listing price ratio as a key performance indicator for both our sellers and buyers. Days on market by price range is also an important benchmark for our listings. These numbers help us quantify the value we’re delivering — and our results consistently outperform the market.

Catherine, you’ve completed over 1,000 successful closings. What role has your team played in helping you reach that milestone?

I give all credit to my team. I couldn’t have reached this point without them. Every member of this team brings something essential. Our success is the result of their dedication, integrity, and collaboration.

A question for Brian Druihet – what do you believe sets the Rowe Team apart?

Everything we do centers on the client experience. From that first call to closing day, we’re focused on helping people make smart, informed decisions — and ensuring they feel supported at every step.

Claire Golden-Fields, what inspired you to join the Rowe Team?

Catherine approached me shortly after I started as a solo agent at our brokerage. I could feel the Rowe Team’s energy, and there’s real integrity here. We all care deeply about the service we provide to our clients.

Marirose Tashjian, how has your perception of real estate changed since joining the team?

I didn’t expect how emotionally invested I would become, or the joy I would feel in supporting people through such an important journey.  The mentorship and education I’ve received as a partner on the Rowe Team have been transformative for me.

Isabella Passante, how has your background influenced your role on the team?

My experience in early childhood education gave me a strong foundation in practicing empathy and understanding the value of good communication. Real estate often looks transactional on the surface — but we understand how deeply personal it is. That perspective shapes every interaction we have with our clients.

Graham, how does your background support the Rowe Team?

Before partnering with Catherine, I served as the Marketing Director for John L. Scott’s Medford and Ashland offices. I feel very fortunate to have worked with some of the most successful agents in our area, and have brought the best of what I learned from that experience to the marketing and advertising for Rowe Team listings.

Brian, you work with many of the Rowe Team’s buyers. How do you ensure a seamless experience?

We operate as a true team. There’s no internal competition, so our focus stays on the client. That structure allows us to collaborate and deliver consistent, high-quality service.

Claire, what would you say makes the Rowe Team unique?

Everyone genuinely supports each other. We know how to work together, lean on each other’s strengths, and share the same vision.

Graham, what are some recent team testimonials or client experiences that stand out?

Opinions about the real estate market are often influenced by headlines or past experiences. Many of our clients are savvy, and have bought or sold more than a few properties in their lives. A consistent theme in our client testimonials is how a member of the Rowe Team provided knowledge, expertise, attention, and care that ultimately delivered results far surpassing what was expected. It’s rewarding to feel we are setting new standards in our business, and making a difference in our clients’ lives.
