Ashland Parks & Recreation will present the 37th Annual 4th of July Run on Thursday, July 4, 2013. This event is a fundraiser for the Ashland and Phoenix High School cross country teams. Two routes are offered: a 10K run (6.2-mile) and the traditional 2-mile run/walk. Both races will have the same start time at 7:45 a.m. The routes are scenic and on closed roadways. A section of the 10K route is along the tree-lined Bear Creek Greenway. Register early, by June 14, for the 10K (6.2-mile) run or the 2-mile walk/run and receive this year’s 4th of July t-shirt FREE. Register online at www.ashland.or.us/julyrun. The cost is $22 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 12 and under. Join in the fun – adults, children and families welcome!
