What type of management style would you bring as the new Mayor of Ashland and how would you specifically work with City Council?
A collaborative style. City staff knows what they are doing and they do not need micromanaging from the Mayor’s office. I would use strong communication skills and trust to provide people with clear direction and empower them to do the best job they can. With the City Council, I will engender a strong presence and sense of control to keep them on task and to facilitate conflicts into being constructive not destructive.
