Dammit Jim, I’m a doctor, not a movie critic… STAR TREK.
Yep just Star Trek. No fancy title, but still appropriate as it is the new film produced by J.J. Abrams.
OK, I like the Star Trek franchise, but I’m not a Trekkie or Trekker, so my wife, who is a big fan dragged me to the movie.
The movie is about the familiar cadets of the original crew of the Enterprise. They’re all there, Kirk, Spock, Bones, Sulu, Chekov, Scotty, Uhura and even some
surprise guests.
Fans of the original series are gonna love this flick. The effects are awesome, the story line is packed with action and emotion, and as a music composer I was particularly impressed with the soundtrack and sound effects.
Abrams has struck a perfect balance between action and intellect in this epic beginning of a legendary crew. So if you like to see Kirk kick the crap out of aliens, and time travel, and photon torpedos and… well you get the picture. OK everyone make the Vulcan hand thingy.. ready?
