The Oregon Cabaret Theatre opens its doors on its 30th season with the show that started it all, Dames at Sea!
In 1986, a small band of artists came to together to produce Dames at Sea in the old pink church on Hargadine St., one block from the Shakespeare festival. 30 years and 139 shows later, the Cabaret is going strong, offering first class dining and shows in its beautifully restored historic space. It’s been said that a trip to the Cabaret is like stepping back in time to the elegance of an earlier era.
Dames at Sea is the perfect choice for the same reason now as it was then. Once called the ‘biggest little show on Broadway’, Dames is a high-spirited musical comedy that features six talented actors – ideal for the intimacy of the Cabaret. Dames at Sea runs from February 12 through March 29 with Saturday and Sunday matinee performances in addition to Thursday through Saturday evening.
