This Ain’t Your Grandma’s Climate Party
The Geos Institute, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Rogue Climate, SOCAN, and Citizens Climate Lobby invite you to come out on Friday night, March 17th, to celebrate all of the great progress that has been made to halt climate change and to take action to keep that momentum up. Did you see our ad?! It’s right there!
We know it’s a climate party, which may seem like an oxymoron, so we want you to know:
There will be no dour, pinched faces. None. We promise.
There will be no science talks. Really. We mean it.
There will be no hockey stick graphs. Absolutely none.
There will be beer, wine, and food from local restaurants, wineries, and breweries.
There will be other really great people (like you) of all ages who are ready to work together for a safe climate.
There will be fun entertainment – music, poetry, and all things wonderful from OSF performers.
There will be a climate bingo game and you can win prizes!
There will be very brief introductions to the climate change groups in the valley so you will finally know what we all do.
There will be an inspiring video message by Senator Merkley just for us.
There will be many ways you can help with the important climate change work that is before us.
And, as an added bit of fun, the winner of the Ashland Climate Challenge will receive their brand new electric bike!
Peter Buckley will emcee the evening and we promise it won’t be your grandma’s climate party.
We hope to see you there! RSVP if you can at www.roguevalleyclimatebash.org so we know who’s coming!
