What’s Your Story?

Hello Ashland, and welcome to The Story! We would like to introduce ourselves by sharing a bit of our story with you.

I was born in Ashland and grew up here in the Rogue Valley. In August of 2017 my wife Lisa and I decided to start a brand new church to help people discover the story they were created to live. We believe that every person has a story to tell, every story matters to God, and every individual story is part of a bigger story in God’s plan.

We started the church at Lithia Park with a group of 20 people, and that October of we moved into the Community Center where we quickly grew to 150 people. In February of 2018 we were given this amazing church building on the corner of Second and B Street, which is our new permanent home! Since then we have remodeled almost the entire interior of the building and have grown to over 300 people.

We are incredibly thankful for all the love and support we have received from the community. We would have never guessed that after just one year this is where we would be today. We love this community so much and are so privileged to get to invest in so many people’s lives every week.

Our culture is built around stories. From the moment people walk in we want them to know that their story matters and that they are loved. Every week a different person from our community shares their story with us. We also have a lot of time to just connect with people around us and share our stories with each other while enjoying a fresh cup of Case Coffee, which is provided weekly. Our music and the teaching are geared toward helping people discover the story they were created to live through a personal relationship with God. At our 9am gathering we also offer a full kids program with lots of fun activities for infants all the way through elementary school. The Story is a safe place where people can find a sense of belonging regardless of their spiritual beliefs or background.

So what’s your story? We would love to meet you and hear more about your story. All are invited to join us for either of our Sunday morning gatherings at 9am or 11:15am at 318 B Street. If you need more information or if you have any questions, you can check out our website at www.thestoryashland.org, follow us on Instagram @thestory.ashland, or check out our Facebook page “The Story Ashland.”

We hope this next chapter of your story and our story come together here at The Story.
