Broadway Smash Avenue Q Coming to the Cabaret

The musical comedy that wowed New York audiences with its innovative mix of adult humor, musical numbers, and puppets is coming to Ashland, and promises to be the musical to see this summer in the valley.

A recent college grad named Princeton moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

The Cast

Sierra Wells (Lulu in Cabaret) and Alex Boyles (Dr. Scott in Rocky Horror 2017) are joined by five Oregon Cabaret Theatre newcomers – Jack O’Brien, Maggie Randolph, Asha Brownie-Gordan, Eric Solis, and Catherine Landeta.

The Music

Features hit songs like “If You Were Gay”, “The Internet is for Porn”, “Mix Tape”, and “What Do You Do With a B.A. in English”.

Content Guide

Avenue Q features puppets, but is decidedly not a show for children as it addresses issues like sex, drinking, and surfing the web for pornography. Were it a movie, it would be rated R.

The Details

Avenue Q begins its run on July 12th and runs through September 9th.

Reservations are required for pre-show dinner and brunch. Appetizers, beverages and desserts are available without reservations. Preview tickets (July 12th) are $25 for all seats.
