I personally ride a Tern HSD. It fits in the back of my Chevy Trax, and I can still carry a 40lb bag of dog food on the back rack. Tern does vigorous third party testing on their bikes, so they are built well and you instantly feel that in the smoothness of the ride.

They allow folks with balance issues, or who might not feel as solid about hopping up onto the saddle as they once did. They allow you to start flat footed and then once you’re hitting your stride at the push of a lever you can raise the seat height and get the proper leg extension.
