The 2nd Annual Ashland World Music Festival, formerly the “Siskiyou de Mayo: A World Music Festival,” is happening on Sat, May 20. The 13th Annual Rogue Valley Bird Day is on Sat, May 13 at 8 a.m. The event is the local celebration of International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD), which celebrates one of the most important and spectacular events in the life of a migratory bird—its journey between wintering and breeding grounds. This year’s theme is “The Importance of Stopover Habitats.” On event day enjoy Wildlife Images exhibits, guided bird walks and a bird-calling contest at 10:30 a.m. for all ages. This outdoor event is FREE and takes place at North Mountain Park, 620 N Mountain Avenue, Ashland.
