Season of Love

Our 2024 season is just getting started and I can feel the love already! Our Primroses are blooming and smell so sweet. Primroses are early bloomers who love this cool weather and add a cheerful pop of color. Keep the soil moist but not boggy by making sure it is planted in well-draining soil in an area with part sun/part shade. They do well in containers or planted directly in the ground. Primroses are great for attracting pollinators to your garden as well.

February is a busy month for us here at the greenhouses. We will be hand planting thousands of annuals and perennials in our retail greenhouse as well as our beautiful Fuchsia baskets. Our production greenhouses are filling up with thousands of mixed baskets of different sizes as well as more perennials and annuals. February is also when we start stocking our outside tables with pansies, violas, early spring vegetables and a variety of perennials that can be planted now.

This month we stock items that help and enhance your garden spaces such as a variety of planters for container gardening, window boxes, fertilizers, and bagged soils. And of course, our new shipment of fun metal garden art will be out! This season we’ve added some beautiful plant stands and cute mini farm animals.

We are kicking off our 2024 “season of love” with beautiful cyclamen that are blooming in stunning Valentine’s Day colors of reds, pinks, whites, and magentas. Another great gift idea is a succulent. They are super easy to care for and we have some very interesting varieties this year. Add an Ashland Greenhouses gift card and you’ve got the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.

We will be adding new varieties to our stock every week so be sure to check our website at www.ashlandgreenhouses.com where you will find our availability list, location, employment opportunities, and all of our upcoming events and classes.
