Another year has come and gone and what a year it has been! December is the perfect month to reflect on the past year and let your heart and minds dream about the coming new year! Every year is a new beginning for us here at Ashland Greenhouses. Looking back on our 2024 season I can honestly say that working here at the Greenhouses has been incredibly rewarding and fun! I learn so much, not just from my mentors here but also from our incredible customers. Our customers are what keep Ashland Greenhouses growing every season and I would like to say a huge Thank You for your continued support.
Our hard-working Production Manager Jason Dombroski and his crew start planting in January and in early spring our amazing seasonal employees return and everyone’s excited to see what the new season will bring. We welcomed a new Wholesale Manager, Kayla Short, to our crew this summer and she is doing an amazing job taking care of our wholesale customers. Sarah Valdivia, our behind-the-scenes Business Manager, who doesn’t realize just how lucky we are to have her, keeps the business end moving smoothly. Ben & Kelly Brainard, our hands-on owners/operators since 2007, have seen the Greenhouses and staff go through changes every season, welcoming each new employee warmly and facing every change or challenge from a positive point of view.
Every season brings with it fun events, free classes, new varieties of annuals and perennials, and a fresh stock of fun, whimsical metal art. We wrap up each season with our amazing Poinsettia Festival. Nothing rings in the holidays like strolling through thousands of stunning Poinsettia, shopping local vendors and visiting with Santa. Although the Festival has “wrapped’ up we still have Poinsettia available as well as Cyclamen, Succulents, Ornamental Peppers, Primrose, perennial grasses and more.
