Tensegrity: positive equal tension

My name is Angela Rose. I help people who are ready to rehabilitate and truly heal their pain from injuries and trauma with Myofascial Release, so they can get back to doing the activities they enjoy. My clients find greater ease and freedom in their movements, they get pain relief and inflammation reduced so there is greater mobility which means more ability.

The human body is amazing in its capacity to heal. Since my first dance class when I began ballet at 5, and later jazz, modern and NIA Dance which taught me to practice new movements and how to move to heal. The foot rubs my dad gave me everyday, the travels to healing centers around the world. With each training, I learn and teach from a different angle. What is consistent is how important it is to keep connecting to life through this vehicle – the Body. The consistent attention I have given my body has been the best thing I could ever do for myself.

To Study the Body with Awareness is to be Embodied.

A few things I would like to impart to you. I will invite you to join me as we practice being centered in a field of loving presence and awareness. In this field healing occurs, you are welcome to let go and express what you notice, what you feel, where it hurts, the tension you have been carrying, let your body have a voice. Tell the stories or beliefs that you have been carrying in your mind and heart, what you have been storing in your body. This is a safe space.

Recently I attended Fascial Pelvis, Cervical Thoracic, and Woman’s Health MFR Seminars. I have been understanding more about the torsion that can show up in the pelvis. This happens when there is uneven hip height. Usually one hip is moving forward in space and the other is moving back, creating torsion – a twist of tension. This puts pressure and stress on your bones – your spine, strain on the low back, hips, buttocks, sacrum. This can also create imbalance in the head, neck and shoulders because our bodies are always doing their best to stay upright.

The specialized techniques of MFR help to bring you into balance, between the front and back as well as the left and right side of your body. This is alignment, center, a line like a string that moves through the very middle of your body. We want tensegrity: positive equal tension. We want the body as a whole to work well together and be in balance.

When you give to yourself, and get treatment with MFR, you release your muscular fascial system. This will help you in every aspect of your life. MFR frees your connective tissues so you can be your best self.
