September Sidewalk Sale
By Peter Wickliffe
The summer winds down as we head into fall and with the change of leaves brings the change of the season. This means preparing for the holidays. Here at Paddington the decorations are going up, Halloween and Harvest are making an appearance accompanied by, you guessed it, Christmas. The change of season is the perfect time for a sale, as we make way for the new merchandise and treasures arriving. Cue drum roll… “It’s time for a “Sidewalk Sale!”
Both of our locations, Paddington Station and The Paddington Jewel Box, will be setting up tables outside our stores with a variety of great items you can save on. Our sidewalk sale starts Friday, September 13th and ends Sunday, September 15th. Make sure to come on out and see us and look at our tables, because you might just find something you can’t do without. This is your chance to see if you can find the item that you have maybe noticed before at our store, but the price has deterred you from making a purchase. While you’re here come on inside and see what our Display Manager and associates have been up to with our seasonal items; you know, the decorations I mentioned before.
Anytime we have a sale here, there is a certain excitement and anticipation that fills the air. After all there is a lot of work that goes into preparing for a sale of any magnitude. Let’s face it, this has been a busy year for us here at Paddington. What with a 40th year celebration, 4th of July parade, the other events and sales that come with the year and we haven’t even reached the end of the year yet. We still have our annual open house, Black Friday and Christmas that are yet to come!
Paddington Station and The Paddington Jewel Box are local, family owned businesses and as such, we strive to be a positive part of our community and continue to come up with ideas to stay active and engaging to fellow businesses, customers, family and friends. We want to show our appreciation to all who have helped us continue and succeed through the years. Thank you all!
“I love this store! Pam and Don are awesome people and the staff is top notch in customer care. There is always something going on in the store. It’s filled with small town whimsy/quirky gifts and I love how the store is a gathering spot for the community during the Festival of Light Parade. Paddington Station is a destination and must see on any visit to Ashland.” – Jim Teece
